JL Rey is an actor, director, and teacher in New York City & Tampa, FL and a proud member of Actors' Equity Association and SAG-AFTRA.

Mr. Rey was born in Havana, Cuba and spent his early years in Regla, a city across the bay from Old Havana.  In 1969, the family migrated to the U.S. and settled in uptown Manhattan, in Inwood.

Since 1984, JL has worked in Musical Theatre, Drama, Farce, Comedy, Operetta, Shakespeare, Opera, Zarzuela, Cabaret, Concert, Film, Television Drama, TV Sitcom, Commercials, Voiceovers, Audiobooks, and Industrials, and has taught acting, audition workshops, and coached monologues, songs, and public speakers in the business world.
